Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and talent for pet styling come together to create happy, healthy, and beautifully groomed pets. In this energetic role, you will provide expert grooming services that enhance pet appearance and comfort while ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Your skills in animal handling, pet care, and customer service will help build lasting relationships with clients and their furry companions. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families every day. Duties Perform pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, styling, and pet styling to meet client specifications. Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring safe restraint and comfort during grooming procedures. Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other hygiene-related grooming tasks to promote pet health. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide advice on pet coat maintenance. Assist with animal handling during grooming sessions, including heavy lifting of larger or heavier pets when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and properly stored. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client questions, scheduling appointments, and fostering positive relationships. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care; veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus. Knowledge of animal handling techniques, animal restraint methods, and pet coat styling. Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary assistant skills is advantageous for understanding pet health needs. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with pet owners and team members. Ability to perform pet nail trimming, pet sitting tasks, and handle animals safely during grooming procedures. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting of large or heavy pets as required. Additional skills such as dog training, equine experience or veterinary experience are beneficial but not mandatory.
