At The Animal Keeper, we have been the trusted leader in specialized pet care and pet boarding in San Diego since 1979. We provide a wide range of services, including dog boarding, cat boarding, and care for birds and pocket pets. Our mission is to offer top-notch pet care in a safe, clean, and loving environment. As a Kennel Technician at The Animal Keeper, you will be an integral part of our team, working closely with animals. While the position is ideal for those who enjoy working with pets, please note that cleaning constitutes 90% of the job. We seek hard-working, self-motivated, and reliable individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, especially during peak travel seasons like holidays and summer months. We will provide comprehensive training to ensure you excel in the following duties: Walking and handling pets of all shapes and sizes. Immediate cleaning and waste removal after pets. Sanitizing kennel areas, hallways, and all surfaces. Housekeeping tasks such as mopping, laundry, dishwashing, and dusting. Observing pets to ensure their happiness and health. Cleaning and sanitizing patios, hotel rooms, and play yards. We are looking for individuals who meet the following requirements: Reliability and punctuality for all shifts. A genuine love for all pets and a comfort level in handling dogs, cats, birds, and pocket pets. Reliable transportation to and from work. Ability to work collaboratively in a team and get along well with colleagues. Availability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and all holidays. While professional experience working with pets is a plus, it's not required.
