Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for our beloved animals. In this energetic role, you will ensure the well-being, cleanliness, and safety of dogs and other pets in our facility. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a comfortable environment for animals awaiting adoption, boarding, or veterinary services. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals while developing valuable skills in pet care and handling. Duties Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, and monitoring animals throughout their stay Perform dog handling and restraint to ensure safety during grooming, medical procedures, or exercise Assist with pet grooming activities to keep animals clean and comfortable Support veterinary staff with basic tasks such as animal restraint, cleaning, and sanitation procedures Conduct regular kennel cleaning to maintain a hygienic environment for all pets Engage in light pet sitting duties, including socialization and enrichment activities Handle heavy lifting when necessary to move kennels, supplies, or equipment safely Maintain detailed records of animal care routines and observations for staff review Experience Previous kennel or animal care experience preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling best practices is a plus Veterinary technician or assistant experience is advantageous for understanding medical needs of animals Familiarity with pet grooming and pet sitting enhances your ability to provide comprehensive care Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking Passion for animal welfare and a positive attitude toward working in a fast-paced environment Join us in making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners!
