This role is dedicated to making our overnight guests' time away from home as happy and comfortable as possible. You'll have the opportunity to get to know the dogs in our care and make a meaningful difference in their stay through attentive care, play and enrichment. During the afternoon, you'll take ownership of our overnight guests' care, working alongside our daycare team to coordinate play sessions, potty breaks, walks, meals, medications, and other scheduled services. In the evening, you'll work independently to complete evening care tasks and facility-reset responsibilities including sanitation of the facility. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves working with dogs and brings the experience, judgment, and reliability this responsibility requires. Because you'll independently supervise groups of dogs during the evening, previous professional dog-handling experience and a strong understanding of canine body language and behavior are required. Responsibilities Coordinate and provide afternoon/evening care for our overnight boarding guests Safely supervise boarding playgroups and potty groups Recognize canine body language, stress signals, escalating behavior, and unsafe interactions and intervene appropriately Ensure guests receive scheduled play sessions, potty breaks, walks, enrichment, and other services Prepare and serve meals and administer medications according to instructions Monitor appetite, stool, behavior, and overall wellbeing and communicate any concerns Maintain clean, comfortable, and properly set-up boarding suites Assist with daycare supervision and general dog care as needed Complete evening potty rotation independently Ensure all boarding guests are safely and comfortably settled for the night Complete evening cleaning, sanitizing, and organization procedures What We're Looking For Previous professional experience handling and supervising dogs Strong working knowledge of canine body language and behavior Experience safely managing multiple dogs or playgroups Confidence handling dogs of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments Excellent situational awareness and sound judgment around dogs Exceptional reliability and punctuality Self-directed and comfortable working independently Accountable and able to follow responsibilities through to completion without constant supervision Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Comfortable administering medications and following detailed care instructions Comfortable with the physical and cleaning requirements of professional animal care A collaborative team member who is willing to help where needed This is an active, hands-on position involving extended time on your feet, handling dogs of all sizes, bending and lifting, cleaning, and working around the normal messes associated with professional animal care.
