BARK N' ROLL
WHO ARE WE? Bark n' Roll is a small mom-and-pop company that offers quality pet care services across Simi Valley. As a small family-run operation, the team and clients we have curated over the years, whom we have had the privilege of working with and for throughout the years, have extended this family far and wide. Though the work we do is more often than not independent, in that each team member is responsible for their given schedule on a day-to-day basis, the support network on which our company is founded is inseparable from this familial model of care, compassion, patience, shared responsibility, and support.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for someone with a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle to get to and from houses (REQUIRED) Must be 18+ We are looking for compassionate and patient individuals who are comfortable walking dogs of all sizes and temperaments. With the various sizes and personalities of the pets we tend, we are looking for someone open and able to care for animals across the spectrum of size and reactivity, from small (ex., Pomeranians, Chihuahuas, cats) to large (ex., Dobermans, Labradoodles, and Great Danes). In addition to flexibility in the size of animals we care for, we also have a range of behaviors and temperaments in the pets we tend to, which means we are looking for individuals who are comfortable caring for shy cats, cuddlebug pups, aloof chickens and barn animals, and reactive dogs. We provide on-site training for every house you will care for to acquaint you with the animals, but regardless of size or temperament, we are looking for individuals who are comfortable, caring, compassionate, attentive, and patient with each of the animals we have the privilege of caring for. We are looking for someone committed to morning and afternoon availability Monday-Thursday, with flexible on-call coverage for Friday-weekend as needed. Our schedules are released on a weekly basis, so you will be made aware of the shifts you are responsible for the following week every Sunday. Each week looks different depending on what requests come in, but we are looking for individuals who are available Monday-Thursday guaranteed for regular clients. That being said, last-minute requests tend to pop up, and it is beneficial if you are flexible in your availability to cover for these last-minute requests. We are looking for someone who genuinely loves all animals. We are an indiscriminate company that cares for various animals, whether they be feathered, finned, four-legged, or furry. Our client base ranges from dogs, cats, fish, chickens, horses, to many more! We are looking for someone comfortable with dosing and administering medication (experience preferred but not required; on-site training offered) We are looking for someone detail-oriented, honest, and responsible, as reflected in their work. We are looking for individuals able to fulfill all outlined tasks per household in a timely manner as indicated in the visit length. We are looking for someone interested in walking multiple miles a week. We are looking for individuals who are confident in their ability to problem-solve. In caring for animals, unexpected things pop up from time to time. While we do our best to prepare for each visit, we cannot ever be fully prepared for every scenario, so it is important in this position to be comfortable in accepting and working with the unanticipated.
