Front Desk & Pet Care Specialist Franktown, CO 80116 Full-Time & Part-Time Starting at $17/hour during training | Up to $23/hour based on experience, training & responsibilities Join Our Pet Care Team! Are you friendly, dependable, organized, and great with both people and pets ? We're looking for a Front Desk & Pet Care Specialist to join our team. This is not a traditional receptionist position . The role combines customer service, front desk operations, hands-on pet care, and, once fully trained, opportunities to assist with daily leadership. Our front desk team is trained in our Guardian/Pet Care role so they understand how our facility operates and can confidently support our clients, pets, and team. What You'll Do Front Desk & Customer Service Welcome clients and manage pet check-ins and check-outs Answer phones, assist customers, and schedule reservations Learn and use our pet-care management software Maintain accurate client and pet records Communicate with pet parents about their pets, services, and stays Learn about our grooming services, terminology, and recommendations so you can confidently answer client questions and assist with scheduling — this position does not perform grooming Assist with opening and closing responsibilities Stay organized and accurate while managing multiple priorities Pet Care & Facility Support Safely handle dogs and cats of different sizes, ages, and temperaments Assist with supervising, feeding, and providing basic daily pet care Monitor pets for changes in behavior or condition Help maintain clean, sanitary pet-care areas Follow established animal-handling and safety procedures Assist the pet-care team during busy periods Perform an occasional quick Wash & Go when needed — a simple 5-10 minute rinse, soap, rinse, and towel dry to help get a pet ready to go home. This is not a full bathing or grooming responsibility. Leadership & Quality Once fully trained, you may also: Help lead daily operations when needed Support team members and help keep the day running smoothly Monitor pet-care quality and safety Help resolve client or operational concerns Ensure company procedures are followed We're looking for someone who is proactive, responsible, and willing to step in wherever needed . This is an active, hands-on position that goes beyond traditional front desk duties. What We're Looking For Friendly, professional, and confident with customers Comfortable working directly with dogs and cats Dependable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented Strong communication and customer-service skills Able to multitask and stay calm in a busy environment Comfortable learning new software and procedures Willing to clean and assist with hands-on pet-care duties Able to work independently while also being a strong team player Comfortable taking initiative and leadership when needed Reliable transportation to Franktown, CO 80116 Available to work weekends and some holidays Able to perform the physical duties associated with pet care Previous professional animal-care experience is preferred, and strong customer-service experience is highly valued. Because we are responsible for live animals, dependability, good judgment, attention to detail, and following procedures are essential. Schedule Full-time and part-time positions Approximately 21-40+ hours per week Typical shifts include 6 AM-11 AM, 11 AM-8 PM, and 1 PM-7 PM Shifts may vary based on business needs Weekend and holiday availability is required We care for pets 365 days a year , so team members should expect to work some holidays and may have additional hours available around busy holiday periods. Eligible holiday hours are paid at 1.5× the regular hourly rate.
Pay Training:
Starting at approximately $17/hour Pay increases based on training progress, demonstrated proficiency, experience, responsibilities, and position
Fully Trained:
Approximately $20-$23/hour , depending on experience, demonstrated proficiency, responsibilities, and position
Optional Overnight Shifts:
Starting at approximately $60+ per overnight
Tips:

Our typical shifts include 6:00 AM-11:00 AM, 11:00 AM-8:00 PM, and 1:00 PM-7:00 PM. Please list the shifts and days of the week you are regularly available to work. Are you interested in occasional optional overnight shifts? Because we care for live animals 365 days a year, reliable attendance is essential. Colorado weather may require employees to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and leave earlier to safely arrive for scheduled shifts. Are you able to maintain reliable attendance during typical snow and other inclement weather conditions? This position involves frequent customer interaction, including answering phones, checking pets in and out, scheduling services, answering questions, and managing multiple priorities. Are you comfortable providing professional customer service in a fast-paced environment? This is an active, hands-on position that includes front desk responsibilities as well as handling dogs and cats, assisting with pet care, cleaning, and supporting daily facility operations. Are you comfortable performing all of these responsibilities? This position requires weekend availability and the ability to work some holidays, including busy periods immediately before and after major holidays.
