In this vital role, you will be the first step in providing exceptional pet care by ensuring animals are clean, comfortable, and handled with kindness. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for both pets and their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your animal handling skills while contributing to a caring and professional environment. Responsibilities Safely bathe, dry, and groom pets, including pet coat styling and pet grooming tasks Assist with pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other basic animal care procedures Handle animals gently and confidently during bathing, grooming, and restraint processes Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and animal behavior Maintain a clean and organized work area, including kennels and grooming stations Support veterinary staff with animal handling and restraint when necessary Assist with heavy lifting of animals or supplies to ensure safety for pets and staff Qualifications Previous experience in pet grooming, animal handling, or kennel work is preferred Knowledge of dog training, veterinary technician experience, or veterinary assistant experience is a plus Familiarity with animal restraint techniques and pet care procedures Strong communication skills to interact professionally with pet owners and team members Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and stand for extended periods during busy shifts Experience with equine or large animal handling is advantageous but not required A genuine love for animals combined with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn Embark on a rewarding journey where your skills make a difference!
