Overview Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Technician and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for our furry friends! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for animals in our pet care facility. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure each pet receives the highest level of care, attention, and love. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, develop your animal handling skills, and contribute to a compassionate pet community. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, and administering medications as directed Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure their comfort and safety Maintain cleanliness of the facility by sanitizing kennels, grooming areas, and common spaces to promote animal health and hygiene Assist with pet boarding, pet sitting, and outdoor activities to keep animals engaged and happy during their stay Support pet grooming, pet care, and basic training activities to enhance animal well-being and behavior management Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and communicate observations to veterinary staff when necessary Assist with team lifting and heavy lifting tasks related to kennel setup or cleaning supplies to ensure safety protocols are followed Skills Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal behavior management enhances your ability to care for diverse pets Strong animal handling skills combined with knowledge of animal restraint techniques ensure safe interactions Excellent customer service skills help communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Proficiency in sanitation practices, and facility sanitization supports a clean environment for all animals Outdoor work experience is beneficial for managing pets during outdoor activities or yard cleanup Ability to perform team lifting and heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina throughout shifts Join us in creating a nurturing environment where animals thrive! Pay:
