Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming in Feather Sound is looking for a smart, dependable and motivated individual who wants to become an important part of both the customer service and grooming sides of our business. This is a unique dual-role position . On designated days, you will work at the front desk as a Retail Sales Associate and Grooming Scheduler . On other scheduled days, you will work alongside our professional grooming team as a Dog Bather , based on salon needs. This position offers significant room for growth for the right person. Depending on your interests and abilities, you can develop toward Groomer Assistant → Grooming Apprentice → Professional Groomer and/or advance into an Assistant Store Manager role. Front Desk & Scheduling Responsibilities Our front desk is much more than answering phones and making appointments. Grooming scheduling requires critical thinking, organization and good judgment. You will learn to evaluate each appointment based on the dog's breed, size, service, grooming history, special needs, appointment length and the individual groomer's schedule and capabilities.
You will:
Answer phones and provide excellent customer service Schedule, rebook and manage grooming appointments Learn how to build an efficient grooming schedule Review customer and pet history before scheduling Identify potential scheduling conflicts and find solutions Check customers in and accurately cash them out Operate our POS and appointment management system Assist customers with premium pet products and retail sales Communicate with groomers throughout the day Perform customer follow-up and basic CRM responsibilities Serve as a key holder and assist with opening the store when scheduled Grooming Team Responsibilities On your designated grooming-team days, you will work hands-on in the salon as a Dog Bather and assist our groomers as needed.
Responsibilities include:
Bathing, drying and brushing dogs De-shedding services Nail trims and ear cleaning Preparing dogs for their groomer Safely handling dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments Monitoring pet comfort and safety Assisting groomers with handling and salon workflow Maintaining a clean, sanitary and organized grooming environment Who We're Looking For Previous professional dog bathing or grooming salon experience is required. More importantly, we are looking for someone who: Is a critical thinker and problem solver Can learn a detailed scheduling system and understand the why behind it Is organized and pays attention to details Can prioritize and make sound decisions Is comfortable learning computer software and POS systems Enjoys customer service and retail sales Communicates professionally and confidently Can multitask while remaining accurate Is dependable and takes ownership of their responsibilities Enjoys being part of a team Wants to learn, grow and take on greater responsibility Two Potential Career Paths This position is designed for someone looking for more than just another part-time job.
