Join our team as an Animal Care Technician! This is a hands on and fast paced role filled with lots of rewarding moments, tail wags and puppy kisses! If you are self motivated, dependable and passionate about caring for animals, we'd love to hear from you! Key Responsibilities Exercise dogs through walks and yard play time. Assist in socializing and training dogs according to rescue guidelines. Assist in keeping kennels, play yards, dishes, laundry and other areas clean and sanitary. Assist in feeding and monitoring animals, reporting any health concerns and behavior changes to supervisors. Provide friendly and helpful customer service to visitors. Communicate effectively with coworkers, volunteers and the public to help create a safe and positive environment for animals and humans alike.
Available positions:
2 Part time positions of 15-20 hrs. One AM shift of 7a-11a, one PM shift of 3p-7p. At least one weekend day required. 1 Full time position of 35-40hrs. Five day work week. Includes 1/2hr unpaid lunch. Requires at least one weekend day.
REQUIREMENTS
Ability to handle dogs weighing up to 100lbs. Ability to be on your feet and moving for long periods Previous experience/knowledge with animals High level of responsibility, self- motivated and able to work independently.
