Cat Care Specialist / Cat Host — Pink Paws Cat Cafe Pink Paws Cat Cafe is one space, two experiences. Up front, our café serves a curated menu of coffee, specialty lattes, teas, pastries, and savory bites in a bright, playful space designed around everything cat. In the back, our interactive cattery lets guests meet, learn about, and play with our cats in a purpose-built lounge run by its own dedicated team. As a Cat Care Specialist / Cat Host, you are both a caretaker for our cats and the face of the Pink Paws cat lounge. You'll be responsible for the daily care, safety, comfort, and wellbeing of our cats while also creating an engaging experience for the people who come to meet them. You'll welcome guests into the cat lounge, introduce them to the cats, answer questions, explain appropriate cat interactions, and actively participate in missions, events, workshops, and other Pink Paws experiences. We're looking for someone who genuinely loves cats, enjoys people, and can bring warmth, knowledge, and energy to the lounge while always putting the cats' wellbeing first. What you'll do Provide daily care for our cats, including feeding, fresh water, litter care, enrichment, and maintaining their supplies and environment. Monitor cats throughout the day, recognize changes in behavior or wellbeing, and ensure they have appropriate opportunities for rest, retreat, play, and interaction. Maintain and clean cat areas, including cat furniture, beds, toys, feeding areas, litter areas, and other cat-specific equipment. Groom and bathe cats as needed and according to their individual care needs. Maintain safe, appropriate cat-guest interactions and follow all cat care, sanitation, safety, and welfare procedures. Keep accurate care records and communicate important observations or concerns to management. Welcome and engage guests in the cat lounge, introduce them to our cats, and share information about their personalities, behavior, and needs. Guide guests through the cat-lounge experience and help create a fun, educational, and welcoming environment. Actively participate in missions, events, workshops, activities, and special experiences. Work closely with the Guest Experience team to ensure a smooth experience from check-in through the cat lounge. Working as a Team The Cat Host works closely with the Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for both cats and guests. The Housekeeper is responsible for the general cleaning and housekeeping of the café and facility, while the Cat Host focuses on cat-specific cleaning and care. These roles work as a team and help each other whenever needed to keep Pink Paws running smoothly. At Pink Paws, everyone is expected to notice what needs to be done and step in when the team needs support. Cross-training At Pink Paws, our team works together across departments. Cat Hosts will receive cross-training in: Guest Experience Café and barista operations Food preparation Pink Paws events and experiences Your primary responsibility is cat care and the cat-lounge experience, but you are part of the larger Pink Paws team. You may support other areas when needed, and other team members will support you when the cat lounge requires additional help.
