Responsibilities Provide attentive pet sitting and daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as needed Handle dogs and other animals with gentle restraint techniques, ensuring safety for both pets and staff Maintain cleanliness of kennels, grooming areas, and common spaces through regular sanitization and cleaning routines Assist with pet boarding procedures, including check-in/check-out processes and updating pet records accurately Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness; communicate concerns promptly to veterinary staff or management Support outdoor work activities such as walking dogs, cleaning outdoor runs, and yard maintenance to promote a healthy environment Collaborate with team members on lifting heavy items like large kennels or supplies safely using proper team lifting techniques Provide excellent customer service by answering questions from pet owners and updating them on their pets' well-being Qualifications Previous veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable Experience in pet sitting, dog training, or animal handling is preferred Familiarity with kennel operations, pet grooming, animal restraint techniques, and sanitation practices in pet care facilities Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in various weather conditions Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence Knowledge of animal behavior and the ability to manage pets calmly and confidently Prior experience with animal care tasks such as cleaning, pet boarding, and outdoor activities is a plus Join us if you're passionate about animals, thrive in active environments, and want to make a positive difference in pets' lives!
