In this energetic role, you will ensure the well-being, safety, and cleanliness of our kennel facilities while delivering outstanding pet care services. Your work ethic and attention to detail will help create a safe, comfortable environment for pets and peace of mind for their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, develop your skills in animal handling, and contribute to a compassionate pet care community. Seasonal shifts available as well. Provide attentive care to dogs and other animals housed in the kennel, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times Assist with dog handling, including feeding, walking, socializing, and monitoring behavior to promote positive interactions Maintain cleanliness of kennels, bedding, and common areas by cleaning cages, washing bedding, and disinfecting surfaces regularly Pet grooming activities such as bathing, brushing, and nail trimming to keep animals healthy and looking their best Assist training staff with basic animal care tasks including administering medications or treatments as directed Handle heavy lifting when moving supplies or assisting with the transportation of animals within the facility Must be able to work in Florida heat, rain, cold. You will be both indoors and out. Prior experience in pet care, kennel work, or animal handling is highly preferred, but not mandatory. Knowledge of dog training techniques and veterinary procedures is a strong plus Experience working with animals in veterinary clinics or as a veterinary technician or assistant is advantageous Ability to handle dogs safely and confidently using proper restraint methods Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during busy shifts Passion for animal welfare with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn new skills Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their owners! Pay:
