Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Key Responsibilities Feed, water, and care for dogs, cats, and other animals according to established schedules. Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment. Washing dishes. Cleaning and changing mops/mop buckets throughout the day. Preparing pet food bowls Changing water bowls in play areas throughout the day. Sweeping and mopping common areas. Exercise, walk, and socialize animals as directed and if needed. Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, stress, or unusual behavior and report concerns to supervisors. Assist with animal intake and discharge procedures as directed and if needed. Maintain accurate records of feeding, medications, and daily observations as directed. Ensure animals have clean bedding, fresh water, and appropriate enrichment. Follow all safety, sanitation, and animal handling protocols. Assist with laundry, stocking supplies, and general facility maintenance. Qualifications Previous experience working with animals is preferred. Knowledge of animal behavior and safe handling techniques is a plus. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Reliable, responsible, and compassionate toward animals. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30-50 pounds if needed. Able to handle animals of different sizes, breeds, and temperaments only as directed. Willingness to perform physically demanding cleaning tasks. Scheduling:

FILL TWO POTENTIAL FULL TIME POSITIONS.
This position starts off as part-time for the training period then will become a full-time shift. However, requesting part time shifts only can be discussed. Shifts starts as early as 6:00 AM. Closing shifts end at 7pm. Flexible shifts based on availability. Morning shifts required for training before able to do afternoon shifts.
Pay:
$16.00 - $17.00 per hour
