Kennel Assistant Overview We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kennel Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care for animals. This role involves maintaining a clean and safe environment for our furry residents, assisting with daily animal care routines, and supporting the overall operations of the kennel. The ideal candidate is passionate about animal welfare, attentive to detail, and able to work early mornings. Responsibilities Assist with feeding, watering, and administering medications to animals as directed Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment Monitor animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to management Provide companionship and gentle handling of animals to promote comfort and reduce stress Support staff with daily tasks such as laundry, organizing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness standards Work at early hours starting from 7am to ensure animals are cared for promptly each morning Follow safety protocols and animal handling procedures at all times to ensure a secure environment for both staff and animals Qualifications Must be able to work at 7am, demonstrating flexibility with early morning shifts Prior experience working with animals is preferred but not required; a genuine love for animals is essential Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team Reliable, responsible, and committed to providing compassionate animal care Join our team as a Kennel Assistant and make a positive difference in the lives of animals while developing your skills in a rewarding environment.
