Starting Salary:
$45,000 - $50,000 + Yearly Bonus + Benefits Rex & Simba is looking for an ambitious, educated, and motivated Store Manager to lead our Noblesville location. We are looking for more than someone who can manage daily retail tasks. We want a person who is interested in understanding the business, taking ownership of results, developing leadership skills, and contributing ideas that help the company succeed. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day store operations Lead, train, schedule, motivate, and hold team members accountable Deliver an exceptional customer experience Drive retail sales and membership performance Maintain high merchandising, cleanliness, and brand standards Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, product availability, and shrink Monitor sales, margins, labor, inventory, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) Review POS reports and business performance data Develop strong knowledge of pet nutrition, food, treats, supplements, toys, and accessories Identify opportunities to increase sales, improve productivity, control costs, and improve customer experience Help implement company policies, procedures, and operating standards Communicate store performance, opportunities, and challenges to company leadership Work hands-on alongside the team when needed
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Finance, Animal Science, Retail Management, or a related field 1+ years of pet retail experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Comfortable working with numbers, reports, technology, and performance metrics Self-motivated, dependable, accountable, and results-oriented Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and continuously improve
Preferred:
Previous supervisory, key-holder, assistant manager, or management experience Knowledge of pet nutrition and premium pet products Inventory management and merchandising experience POS system experience Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets proficiency Understanding of sales, margins, labor costs, budgeting, or basic P&L concepts Who We're Looking For The right candidate will have a growth mindset and strong personal drive .
