An Animal Care Worker or Manager manages animal care and grooming for a retail store that sells pets or for a pet grooming business. May also provide animal care and grooming at a kennel. Works with animals in shelters or rescue organizations. Works primarily with dogs and cats. Assists veterinarians with vaccinations or other procedures; screens people who want to adopt an animal from a shelter and provides information about caring for animals.

Job Description

Must have grooming experience, come with references, and photos. This is a W-2 position, and depending on work experience you can get from 45% up to 55% on commission. Full tips. We are a salon that's about quality over quantity. Some of us only groom 4 to 5 dogs a day, but that does not mean you have to do that many or more if you'd like! We have an ever growing clientele/wait list. Feel free to check out our instagram @houndsoflove502 or @dogsbysyd to get to know us a little better! If you are interested in creative grooming, we have many clients that LOVE hair color! This is a typical grooming position, so you will be required to clean/disinfect your areas. Everything but hand tools are provided, and sharpening is paid for quarterly by Hounds of Love.
