Job Summary Join our team as a Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and grooming expertise combine to create happy, healthy, dogs in a small scale 1-1 environment. In this role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance each dog's appearance and comfort while ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. Your attention to detail, patience, animal handling skills, and love for dogs will make a meaningful difference here. This commission based position with reliable established, clientele offers an exciting opportunity to develop your talents in a supportive environment surrounded by positive mentorship. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail grinds tailored to each dog's breed and individual needs. Safely handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments using proper animal restraint techniques. We specialize in dogs that need special treatment due to anxiety. Must be comfortable grooming dogs on medications, elderly pets, otherwise anxious pets or ones expressing minimal but manageable behavioral issues. Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in excellent condition. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining grooming procedures, addressing owner questions, and ensuring client satisfaction Assist with booking appointments and keeping the salon tidy. Support team members with animal handling tasks that require 2 people lifting or restraining. Requirements 2 years of grooming experience preferred. 6 months of previous experience required. Be able to lift 50 pounds. Groom 5-6 dogs a day depending on size and breed. Tues-Fri availability with shifts varying from 9-5 or 10:30-6:30 Ability to handle anxious or senior dogs with compassion and patience using safe methods of restraint. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor. Comfortable speaking with clients about their wants.
