Weekend Dog Handler & Occasional Overnight Boarding Attendant Tayls N Trails Watertown, MA Job Details Part-time From $18 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Paid training Qualifications Companion animal handling Pet care experience in outdoor settings Animal enclosure cleaning Dog handling Ability to follow instructions Full Job Description Weekend Dog Handler & Occasional Overnight Boarding Attendant Tayls N' Trails - Watertown, MA Part-Time | Saturdays & Sundays + Pre-Planned Overnight Coverage $18/hour + additional overnight compensation About the Position Tayls N' Trails is looking for a reliable, responsible and experienced dog handler to become our dedicated weekend and overnight boarding attendant. This position is designed for someone who wants weekends as their regular schedule . You will provide consistent Saturday and Sunday care for our boarding dogs and will also serve as our overnight caregiver when the owner is traveling. When overnight coverage is needed, you will stay at the owner's home and be responsible for both their personal dogs and the boarding dogs in their care. Travel dates will be provided in advance. We are looking for someone who can become a trusted, long-term member of our team and who is comfortable taking responsibility for the dogs when working independently. Regular Weekend Schedule Saturday & Sunday 7:30 AM-12:30 PM 4:00 PM-9:00 PM Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include: Morning and evening feeding Walking, potty breaks and exercise Caring for multiple dogs with different needs and personalities Crate rotations Cleaning and maintaining dog areas Administering medications when necessary Transporting boarding dogs when needed Monitoring the health, behavior and safety of dogs in your care Following all Tayls N' Trails dog-handling and safety protocols Providing overnight supervision when the owner is traveling Caring for both personal and boarding dogs during overnight stays Overnight & Travel Coverage When the owner is traveling, this person will provide pre-planned overnight coverage at the owner's home . Because of the level of trust and responsibility involved, we are looking for someone who is comfortable staying overnight and independently managing the dogs and their routines. Overnight dates will be communicated in advance.
Additional overnight compensation:
$100 per overnight , in addition to applicable hourly pay for scheduled working hours. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Wants a consistent Saturday and Sunday schedule Is dependable and punctual Is comfortable committing to most weekends Is comfortable providing pre-planned overnight coverage Has experience handling dogs Is confident caring for multiple dogs Can follow detailed routines and instructions Is comfortable working independently Has reliable transportation Is physically able to walk dogs and perform normal dog-care and cleaning duties Understands that reliability is extremely important when caring for animals Previous professional dog-care experience is preferred.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 per week
