Job Description

Key Responsibilities Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, watering, walking, and administering medications as directed. Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of all pets during their stay. Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by cleaning kennels, suites, common areas, and play yards. Bathe pets as needed and follow proper hygiene and handling protocols. Monitor pet behavior, appetite, and overall health; report any concerns promptly to management. Engage pets in enrichment activities such as supervised playtime, exercise, and socialization. Maintain accurate records of care, including feeding amounts, medication logs, behavior notes, and health observations. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners regarding their pet's stay, needs, and behavior updates. Follow all safety guidelines, animal handling procedures, and facility protocols. Qualifications Strong understanding of general pet care practices and safe dog-handling techniques. Prior experience in a kennel, daycare, veterinary clinic, or similar animal-care environment is a plus but not required. Previous experience with pet care or animal handling is highly desirable. Excellent customer service and communication skills; ability to interact professionally with pet owners. Ability to multitask and stay organized while managing the needs of multiple pets. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and performing physical tasks such as walking dogs, lifting up to 50 lbs, and cleaning. Passion for animals and dedication to high-quality care. Schedule & Work Environment Weekend and holiday availability required. Work is performed in a kennel environment with exposure to various weather conditions during outdoor activities.
