Loyal Dog Club | Weekend After-Hours Dog Walker & Pet Care Specialist Do you love dogs, enjoy being active, and want a flexible job that lets you spend your time caring for pets instead of sitting behind a desk? Loyal Dog Club is looking for a dependable, compassionate animal lover to join our team as a Weekend After-Hours Dog Walker & Pet Care Specialist. We provide personalized, one-on-one dog walks and pet care throughout Royal Oak and surrounding communities. Our walkers become trusted members of our clients' lives, caring not only for their pets, but also for their homes and routines. This position is ideal for someone looking for part-time weekend work with the opportunity to pick up additional after-hours services during the week. Schedule Weekend availability is required for this position. We are specifically looking for someone who can consistently be available during the following windows:

Saturday:

12:00 PM - 10:30

PM Sunday:

8:30 AM - 10:30 PM You will not necessarily be working continuously throughout these entire windows . Your schedule will be based on client requests and available services in your area. There are also opportunities to pick up optional after-hours services Monday-Friday between 4:30 PM and 10:30 PM if you would like additional hours. Part-time position. Weekend availability is required. What You'll Do No two days are exactly the same, but responsibilities may include: Providing private walks and potty breaks for dogs of all ages and sizes Giving pets plenty of love, attention, and companionship Refreshing water bowls and completing additional care requests Taking photos and sending visit updates through our pet care app Safely entering and securing clients' homes Cleaning up after pets and maintaining a tidy environment Monitoring pets for changes in behavior or health concerns Communicating with our office team regarding any issues or updates Assisting with additional pet care services when needed Maintaining accurate mileage records between appointments What Makes Someone Successful Here? We're looking for someone who is: Dependable and punctual Consistently available on Saturdays and Sundays Comfortable working independently Organized and detail-oriented Friendly and professional with clients Comfortable around dogs of all breeds and sizes Able to walk several miles throughout the day in all seasons An excellent communicator Passionate about providing exceptional care Requirements Must be at least 18 years old Weekend availability during the required hours listed above Reliable vehicle and valid driver's license required Smartphone with ability to use our scheduling app Ability to walk multiple miles throughout the day Comfortable handling multiple dogs when appropriate Ability to safely transport pets if needed Prior experience with dogs or animal care preferred Knowledge of dog behavior and basic pet first aid is a plus Must successfully pass a background check Pay & Benefits Starting pay: $14-$15 per hour, based on experience Time-and-a-half pay for services completed during after-hours periods, including weekends This means after-hours service rates are approximately $21-$22.50 per hour , based on your regular starting rate Automatic 3% raise after successful completion of the 30-day introductory period Annual performance-based raises Mileage reimbursement between appointments Flexible, part-time schedule Paid training and support from our administrative team Opportunity to pick up additional after-hours services during the week Opportunity to work with amazing dogs every day About Loyal Dog Club At Loyal Dog Club, we believe pet care should be personal, not commercial.
