Job Description

We are a small, family-owned grooming salon offering a full time or part-time grooming position for individuals seeking to perfect their grooming skills or for a groomer looking to slow down from a full-time grooming position. Your schedule will be determined by you. This is a commission-based, W-2 position. We provide stylist stations, tables, blow dryers, accessories, shampoos, conditioners, etc. You must provide your own grooming tools necessary to efficiently complete each requested groom for a variety of breeds.
Requirements:
1+ years' experience is preferred. The position requires patience and the ability to handle a variety of dogs and behavior in a gentle, but effective manner. Must be able to groom a minimum of 4-5 dogs a day. Must be able to communicate with clients in a professional manner while catering to their dog's needs. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and handle large breeds of dogs with no problem bending, crouching, reaching and being on your feet for long periods of time. Must be able to work independently Ability to read and comprehend instructions. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a calm and gentle disposition with animals. Must be a team player.
