Job description Rockhill Pet Clinic is seeking an exceptional person to add to our team as a professional Animal Care Technician. We have been caring for pets in Kansas City for over 25 years. We are passionate about animal care and their well-being and want someone who shares this passion to join us! The ideal candidate will be comfortable cleaning kennels, feeding animals, walking dogs, and bathing/grooming both small and large breeds. Training will be provided in the Rockhill way of animal care and grooming. This is a part time position. Split shifts, holidays and weekends are required

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate records of pets in your care. Cleaning and maintenance of facilities. Care for pets in a safe manner. Walking large and small dogs. Basic grooming of large and small pets. Restocking of supplies. Ensure that pets have adequate food/water, and a safe and clean environment. All other kennel duties associated with care of pets in our facility.

Schedule:

Shifts Available Monday - Sunday Weekends and some holidays are required Split shifts are required. This job requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds. This job requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to reach and grasp, and the visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read information. Employees are routinely exposed to a variety of pets that may bite or scratch, and on occasion, could be exposed to anesthesia, radiation, biological hazards and medications.

Education:

High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Pay:

$15.00 - $16.00 per hour
