Handle animals safely and compassionately using animal restraint techniques and animal handling skills. Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide updates on pet behavior or health concerns. Maintain a clean, organized mobile grooming station to ensure safety and hygiene standards are met. Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up communications, and client records professionally. Assist with pet care needs such as veterinary-related tasks or basic health assessments when appropriate. Ensure proper heavy lifting of grooming equipment and pets when necessary to prevent injury. Requirements Proven experience in pet grooming with a focus on dog handling and pet coat styling. Knowledge of animal care practices including veterinary technician or assistant experience is highly desirable. Strong skills in animal restraint, animal handling, and pet nail trimming. Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners and providing exceptional customer service. Ability to lift heavy objects safely and handle multiple pets in a fast-paced environment. You'll travel throughout south Charlotte providing one-on-one grooming appointments in a clean, climate-controlled mobile salon.
