This role combines technical skill, compassionate animal handling, and excellent communication with pet owners to create a rewarding experience for both animals and their humans. Whether you're trimming coats, styling pets' fur, or providing specialized care, your dedication will make a lasting impact in a lively and supportive environment. Duties Perform comprehensive pet grooming services including bathing, brushing, pet coat styling, nail trimming, and ear cleaning to meet each pet's specific needs Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills to ensure comfort and security during grooming sessions Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with pet owners about grooming procedures, pet health considerations, and aftercare instructions Assist with pet care routines such as pet sitting or feeding when needed to support overall animal well-being Maintain a clean, organized grooming area while adhering to safety protocols and sanitation standards Use veterinary experience or veterinary technician knowledge to identify signs of health issues or discomfort in pets during grooming Engage in light physical activity including heavy lifting of animals or equipment to facilitate efficient grooming sessions Experience Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong background in pet coat styling and animal handling techniques Knowledge of dog training principles and veterinary experience is highly desirable for understanding animal behavior and health considerations Prior veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience is a plus for recognizing medical concerns during grooming Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet nail trimming, and heavy lifting required for handling larger animals such as dogs or horses Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners confidently and professionally Background in dog handling, animal care, or companion animal handling enhances your ability to work effectively with diverse pets Previous experience in customer service roles demonstrates your ability to provide friendly, attentive support to clients Join us if you're passionate about delivering exceptional pet care through expert grooming while building lasting relationships with clients.
