Job Overview Do you have a passion for animals and a desire for development opportunities at a growing new dog business? If so, we are seeking a dedicated Pet Care Specialist to join Paws on the Pasture. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for all dogs in our facility while ensuring a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for dogs and possess strong customer service skills to interact effectively with pet owners. Responsibilities Supervise dogs in small group play, ensuring all safety and cleanliness standards are met. Escorting dogs to/from kennels, playgroup, etc. Assist with meal prep and feedings, and administer medication when needed. Clean and sanitize all dog kennels, play yards, and common areas. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management. Handle dogs of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments safely and effectively. Minimal administrative tasks, such as answering the phone and booking new reservations. Cheerfully greet all pets and their parents when they arrive. Qualifications Previous experience in animal care, such as working in a kennel environment, is preferred but not required. General knowledge of dog behavior and body language and willingness to learn. Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling large dogs or moving supplies. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being. Flexible schedule, holidays and weekends are required. Part-time positions available. Ability to take direction and apply it independently. Responsible, dependable, punctual, and strong work ethic. Able to perform tasks in an outdoor environment and stand for long periods. Where wagging tails meet open trails! We are located just south of Monroe, situated on 4.2 acres for maximum canine enjoyment. Our facility includes oversized kennels for overnight boarding and a dog wash station to ensure our furry friends go home smelling fresh and clean. With a focus on canine enrichment, our goal is to provide a safe and fun place for all dogs to enjoy.
