Job Description

Animal Caretaker/ Kennel Worker Do you love pets? Heartland Pet Connection is looking for a responsible, enthusiastic, hard working and reliable person to help us care for the homeless animals that come to our facility. We are the animal shelter that houses and cares for animals in Hastings, Adams County and surrounding communities.

This job includes:

Cleaning kennels Caring for the animals including exercise and socialization Feeding and watering the animals Cleaning of facility Helping vaccinate the animals Adoption counseling Light office work Must love animals and be allergy free of cats and dogs. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds. Must work well with others on the team and have good communication skills with team members and public. Flexible scheduling but will include a variety of daytime hours Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:30pm including rotating weekends and holidays.
