Your energetic approach will help create a welcoming environment for pets and their owners alike, supporting their needs through attentive animal handling, cleaning, and customer service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals daily while honing your skills in animal care and kennel operations. Responsibilities Provide attentive pet handling, including feeding, walking, grooming, and administering basic care to ensure animals are happy and healthy Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through thorough sanitization and organization Assist with pet boarding procedures, ensuring each animal's comfort and safety during their stay Restrain animals safely using proper animal restraint techniques during cleaning or veterinary procedures Support pet grooming activities to keep animals looking and feeling their best Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and communicate observations to veterinary staff or management Handle outdoor work tasks such as yard cleaning, exercise walks, and ensuring secure enclosures are maintained Experience Prior veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly valued for understanding animal health needs Experience in pet sitting or pet care facilities demonstrates your ability to manage multiple animals responsibly Kennel experience or animal handling background provides a strong foundation for safe and effective pet care Skills in dog training or animal behavior help promote positive interactions with pets of all temperaments Customer service experience enhances communication with pet owners and team members Physical ability for heavy lifting, team lifting, and outdoor work is essential for managing supplies and caring for large or active animals Knowledge of pet grooming, sanitization protocols, and animal restraint techniques supports overall facility standards Join us to make a positive impact on pets' lives while developing your expertise in animal care!
