Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Kennel Attendant and become a vital part of providing exceptional care for our beloved animals. In this energetic role, you will ensure the well-being, cleanliness, and safety of pets in our facility while delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners. Your dedication will help create a comfortable and healthy environment for animals and peace of mind for their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, develop valuable skills, and contribute to a compassionate pet care community. Duties Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, watering, and administering medications as directed by veterinary staff Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas to promote a hygienic environment Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and ensure their comfort during interactions Assist with pet grooming, bathing, and basic pet handling tasks to keep animals clean and happy Support veterinary technicians and assistants with animal care procedures and basic medical tasks Monitor animal behavior for signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly Engage with pet owners by answering questions, scheduling appointments, and providing updates on their pets' well-being Skills Experience in dog training, handling, or pet sitting that demonstrates patience and confidence around animals Veterinary experience or background as a veterinary technician or assistant is highly desirable Strong animal handling skills with knowledge of animal restraint techniques Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move kennels or supplies safely Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members Pet grooming skills to assist with bathing, brushing, and basic hygiene routines Knowledge of animal care best practices combined with a genuine passion for animal welfare Join us in making a difference in the lives of pets and their families!
