Handle animals safely and humanely using proper restraint techniques to ensure comfort and safety during grooming procedures. Provide pet care services such as brushing, ear cleaning, and skin care treatments as needed. Maintain a clean and sanitized grooming environment, including tools and equipment. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, special instructions, and pet health considerations. Manage scheduling appointments efficiently and ensure timely service delivery at each location. Assist with pet sitting or other animal care duties when required, demonstrating versatility in animal handling. Follow safety protocols related to heavy lifting of equipment or pets when necessary. Professional grooming van is equipped to minimize lifting. Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care; veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus. Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safe grooming sessions. Strong animal handling skills with a focus on gentle care and patience. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients. Ability to perform heavy lifting when required (e.g., lifting pets or equipment). Valid, clean driver's license with reliable transportation to pick-up/drop-off van. Passion for animals and commitment to providing high-quality pet care services.
