Job Description
MUST HAVE GROOMING EXPERIENCE.
The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the skills necessary to provide high-quality grooming services. This role requires a combination of technical grooming skills, customer service abilities, and a strong understanding of animal care. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering exceptional service to their owners. Duties Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling pets according to breed standards or client preferences. Assess the condition of each pet's coat and skin, identifying any issues that may require veterinary attention. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about grooming options and aftercare. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized and in good working condition. Handle pets safely and humanely, utilizing proper animal restraint techniques when necessary. Assist with kennel duties as needed, monitoring the behavior of pets in care. Stay updated on grooming trends and techniques to continuously improve skills and service offerings. Qualifications Full time/ Part time grooming experience is mandatory Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners. Knowledge of animal behavior and handling techniques; experience as a veterinary assistant or in animal restraint is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or multiple pets. Familiarity with kennel operations and animal care best practices is advantageous. Experience in dog training can be beneficial but is not required. A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being is essential for this role.
