- Walk dogs on a regular schedule, rain or shine
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the dogs in your care
- Provide exercise and mental stimulation for dogs during walks
- Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding their dog's needs and preferences
- Clean up after dogs during walks and dispose of waste properly
- Monitor dogs for any signs of distress or illness and report any concerns to the owner
- Maintain accurate records of each walk, including time, distance, and any notable observations
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with dogs, such as dog training, pet sitting, or pet grooming (Not required but would be great)
- Knowledge of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods
- Familiarity with basic veterinary care and understanding of common dog behaviors
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners in a professional and friendly manner
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to ensure timely completion of walks
- Physical stamina to walk multiple dogs for extended periods of time
- Reliable transportation to travel to various locations for dog walks
