Job Overview Join our dynamic pet care team as a Part-Time Kennel Attendant, working evenings and weekends to ensure the comfort, safety, and well-being of our furry guests. In this lively role, you'll provide exceptional animal care, maintain a clean and sanitized environment, and deliver friendly customer service to pet owners. Your energetic approach and love for animals will help create a positive experience for every pet and owner who walks through our doors. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to work with animals in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting while gaining valuable experience in pet care and animal handling. Responsibilities Provide attentive care to animals in our kennel, including feeding, watering, exercising, and monitoring their health status Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques and animal handling skills Maintain cleanliness of kennels, common areas, and equipment through regular sanitization and cleaning procedures Assist with pet boarding tasks to ensure all animals are comfortable and well-cared for Support animal behavior assessments and training activities to promote positive interactions and reduce stress Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, including sanitation standards for pet care facility hygiene Engage with pet owners professionally by answering questions, providing updates on their pets' well-being, and delivering excellent customer service Experience Previous veterinary experience or animal handling background is highly desirable Experience working as a kennel attendant or in animal care facilities is preferred Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior is a plus Hands-on pet boarding experience will be considered an asset Comfort with outdoor work environments and heavy lifting is necessary for this role Familiarity with animal restraint methods, pet grooming, and sanitation practices enhances your candidacy Strong team lifting skills to assist with moving supplies or animals safely This energetic role invites passionate animal lovers who thrive in active settings to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners.
