MIDDAY DOG WALKER AND PET SITTER
About Jurassic Bark Jurassic Bark is a small, growing pet care business based in Phoenixville, PA. We currently care for more than 300 pets and are constantly growing. Our goal is to provide exceptional, dependable, and personalized care to every pet we serve. We are looking for a reliable, responsible, independent, and animal-loving person to join our team as a part-time Midday Dog Walker and Pet Sitter. This position is ideal for someone who loves animals, enjoys being outdoors, and takes pride in providing excellent pet care. Candidates must be available Monday through Friday during midday hours and have reliable transportation.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Walk dogs safely and provide exercise and mental stimulation
- Visit pets in their homes and provide care according to each client's instructions
- Provide feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, and other basic pet care as needed
- Administer medications when required and comfortable doing so
- Monitor pets for signs of illness, injury, stress, or unusual behavior
- Communicate any concerns to pet owners and the Jurassic Bark team
- Clean up after pets and properly dispose of waste
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and dependable presence during every visit
- Build positive relationships with clients and their pets
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous dog walking, pet sitting, veterinary, kennel, or animal care experience is preferred
- Comfortable handling dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities
- Comfortable working with dogs who may have behavioral challenges
- Strong animal handling and safety skills
- Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently
- Comfortable being active and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physically capable of walking dogs and assisting with larger or special needs pets when necessary
- Basic knowledge of dog behavior and training is a plus
- Veterinary technician experience or experience with animal restraint is a major plus
- Equine or other professional animal care experience is welcome
- Reliable transportation is required
