Responsibilities Safely handle dogs of various breeds and temperaments during bathing, grooming, and drying procedures. Perform pet coat styling, including trimming, brushing, and de-matting to meet client specifications. Conduct pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other basic grooming tasks with precision and care. Restrain animals appropriately using humane techniques to facilitate grooming procedures. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming stations and equipment in compliance with health standards. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming preferences, special needs, or behavioral considerations. Assist with animal care duties such as feeding, exercising, and monitoring health during the grooming process. Handle heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or large dogs to ensure safety for pets and staff. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions or concerns professionally. Support kennel or pet sitting responsibilities as needed to ensure comprehensive animal care. Requirements Prior experience in dog handling, pet grooming, or animal care is highly desirable. Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant experience is a plus. Familiarity with animal restraint techniques, pet coat styling, and pet nail trimming. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members. Experience with kennel management or pet sitting is advantageous.
