We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Weekend Daytime Dog Nanny to provide loving care, exercise, and companionship to our 5 dogs during weekend days. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work indoors and outdoors, engage with animals in a lively environment, and contribute to their happiness and well-being. If you enjoy active work, animal handling, and creating positive experiences for pets and their owners, this position is perfect for you! During times when our dogs are not requiring much attention we would like some light cleaning and laundry help as well. Hours are 8-4 Saturday and Sunday but can be somewhat flexible. Responsibilities Provide attentive pet sitting and dog walking services during weekend daytime hours, ensuring dogs are exercised, fed, and comforted. Administer basic pet care tasks such as feeding, administering medication if needed, and maintaining clean and safe environments. Engage dogs in outdoor activities that promote exercise and mental stimulation, including outdoor play and training exercises. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs, behaviors, and any concerns that arise during visits. Assist with pet grooming or handling as required to keep animals comfortable and well-cared for. Light cleaning and laundry when not assisting with dogs. Requirements Prior experience with dog handling, pet sitting, or animal care is highly desirable. Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior is a plus. Experience working with veterinary professionals or in veterinary technician/assistant roles is beneficial. Ability to perform outdoor work comfortably in various weather conditions. Strong animal restraint skills to ensure safety during handling or training sessions. Excellent client communication skills to provide updates and address owner questions confidently. Physical ability to lift heavy items such as pet supplies or assist with animals as needed. A responsible attitude with a genuine love for animals and a commitment to their well-being. $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
