In this energetic role, you will provide professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our canine clients. Your expertise in pet care, animal handling, and customer service will ensure every dog leaves looking and feeling their best. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to combine your love for animals with your grooming skills in a lively, supportive environment. Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping to meet each pet's specific needs and owner preferences Handle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure both pet and staff safety during grooming procedures Assess each dog's coat condition and skin health, providing recommendations for ongoing pet care or veterinary consultation if needed Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming station, including proper sanitation of tools and work areas to promote animal health and safety Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences, provide pet care advice, and address any special needs or concerns Assist with pet handling during grooming appointments, ensuring gentle yet secure restraint to minimize stress for the animals Support other team members with tasks such as pet sitting, kennel cleaning, or basic veterinary assistance when required Qualifications Proven experience in pet grooming with a strong understanding of dog handling techniques and animal restraint methods Background in animal care fields such as veterinary assistant experience or kennel work enhances your ability to provide exceptional service Familiarity with dog training principles and heavy lifting capabilities for handling larger breeds or assisting with pet movement Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners Demonstrated animal handling skills across various species including dogs and equines is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and safety standards Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills make a real difference!
