Job Description
Training will include:
Professional bathing techniques Shampoo and conditioner usage Product dilution Proper rinsing High-velocity drying techniques Safe pet handling Brushing and coat preparation Working with different coat types Salon sanitation procedures Efficient bathing and drying workflow Recognizing signs of stress or discomfort in pets Proper grooming salon safety practices Previous professional bathing experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to take direction are equally important. Requirements Genuine love and respect for animals Previous dog bathing or grooming experience preferred but not required Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes Comfortable around wet dogs, hair, and grooming equipment Able to stand for extended periods Able to safely lift and handle dogs when necessary Dependable and punctual Strong attention to detail Coachable and willing to learn Able to follow instructions and salon procedures Able to stay productive without constant supervision Positive and professional attitude Strong teamwork skills Comfortable working in a busy grooming environment The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is reliable, coachable, hardworking, and genuinely passionate about working with dogs. The right person will take pride in keeping pets comfortable, maintaining a clean workspace, and helping create an efficient grooming experience from start to finish. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to learn professional grooming practices, work alongside an experienced groomer, and grow within an established salon environment. Work Schedule & Availability This is a required full-time position. Candidates must have consistent availability to work a full-time schedule and be willing to work the days and hours necessary to support the salon's grooming schedule. Most weekends are mandatory, as weekends are an important part of our salon's business. Additionally, days leading into major holidays are mandatory, as these are typically some of our busiest periods of the year. Applicants should be prepared for a schedule that may include weekends, holiday periods, and increased hours during peak grooming seasons. Consistent attendance, punctuality, and schedule reliability are essential for this position. This position is not intended for someone seeking occasional, seasonal, or limited part-time work.Benefits:
