Lead Pet Groomer — Full Time Shaggy Chic Grooming Boutique El Paso, TX Job Details Full-time From $17 an hour 15 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Team leadership Leading team collaboration initiatives Full Job Description Overview Shaggy Chic Grooming Boutique is looking for a Full-Time Lead Pet Groomer to join our growing team. This is a working leadership position for an experienced groomer with at least 5 years grooming experience who is passionate about quality grooming, exceptional customer service, and helping develop other team members. Recommended to have at least 2-3 years in a previous leadership role The Lead Groomer will work closely with the Salon Manager to maintain salon standards, support daily operations, train and mentor team members, and ensure every pet receives safe, compassionate, and high-quality care. We are looking for someone who leads by example, takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, and wants to grow with our salon. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, breed-appropriate grooming services
  • Safely handle dogs of various breeds, sizes, coat types, and temperaments
  • Maintain Shaggy Chic's grooming and quality standards
  • Perform bathing, drying, prep work, haircuts, nails, ears, and finishing
  • Work alongside the Salon Manager to train and mentor team members
  • Assist with onboarding and hands-on training of new groomers and bathers
  • Demonstrate proper grooming, handling, safety, sanitation, and salon procedures
  • Provide constructive coaching and feedback to team members
  • Help identify areas where additional training may be needed
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate professionally with pet parents
  • Educate clients regarding coat care, grooming schedules, and recommended services
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary salon
  • Follow all salon policies, safety procedures, and operational standards
  • Help maintain an efficient daily workflow while prioritizing quality over quantity
  • Communicate concerns, scheduling issues, or operational needs to the Salon Manager
  • Lead by example through professionalism, dependability, teamwork, and work ethic Experience & Qualifications 5+ years of professional pet grooming experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of grooming techniques and breed-specific styles
  • Comfortable grooming a variety of breeds, sizes, and coat types
  • Excellent dog handling skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Leadership, mentoring, or training experience preferred
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Positive attitude and willingness to continue learning
  • Ability to receive direction and work collaboratively with the Salon Manager
  • Must be comfortable taking on leadership responsibilities while maintaining a personal grooming schedule This a commission based job.
