Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable environment for our furry guests. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in pet grooming, animal care, and customer service while working in a lively, pet-loving atmosphere. Responsibilities Safely bathe, dry, and groom pets of various sizes and breeds using proper techniques and equipment Handle animals with care, employing effective restraint methods to ensure safety for pets and staff Trim pet nails, style coats, and perform basic grooming tasks to meet owner specifications Assist with pet coat styling and pet sitting duties as needed to maintain high standards of appearance and comfort Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding grooming procedures, special needs, or concerns about their pets' health or behavior Maintain cleanliness of grooming areas, tools, and equipment to uphold hygiene standards Assist with heavy lifting of animals or supplies when necessary, following proper safety protocols Skills Experience in dog training, veterinary technician work, or veterinary assisting is highly valued but not required Strong animal handling skills with a focus on companion animal care and restraint techniques Knowledge of pet grooming practices including coat styling and pet nail trimming Ability to handle diverse animals such as dogs, cats, and equines with patience and confidence Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners and team members effectively Customer service experience that emphasizes professionalism and compassion Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during busy grooming sessions Embark on a rewarding journey where your love for animals makes a difference!
