Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily kennel operations, ensuring the highest standard of pet care Train, mentor, and schedule kennel staff to maintain efficient workflows and team performance Monitor the health, behavior, and well-being of all boarded animals and escalate concerns as needed Enforce sanitation and hygiene protocols including kennel cleaning, disinfecting, and waste management Greet pet owners, manage check-ins and check-outs, and provide exceptional customer service Maintain accurate records of animal care, feeding schedules, medications, and vaccinations Ensure facility compliance with safety standards and animal welfare best practices
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in a kennel, veterinary, or animal care facility setting Prior supervisory or team lead experience preferred Strong knowledge of animal behavior, basic health indicators, and safe handling techniques Ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and resolve issues calmly and effectively Excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable working with dogs and cats of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in an active outdoor/indoor environment
