In this energetic role, you will deliver professional grooming services that enhance the health, hygiene, and appearance of our furry clients. Your expertise will help build lasting relationships with pet owners while ensuring each dog feels safe, comfortable, and pampered throughout their grooming experience. This paid position offers a dynamic environment where your skills in animal handling and customer service will shine. This is a comission not an hourly position, I would love to talk more about this at the interview. Duties Provide comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling to meet each dog's specific needs and breed standards Handle dogs safely and confidently using animal restraint techniques to ensure a stress-free grooming process Perform pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and coat styling with precision and care Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand grooming preferences and provide aftercare advice Maintain a clean and organized grooming station, including sanitizing tools and equipment regularly Assist with pet care routines such as feeding or administering medication when necessary, leveraging veterinary or veterinary technician experience if applicable Support kennel or pet sitting duties as needed, including heavy lifting of animals or supplies Skills Strong dog handling skills with the ability to work calmly with animals of all temperaments Knowledge of animal care practices, including pet coat styling and pet grooming techniques Experience in veterinary settings such as veterinary technician or assistant roles is highly valued for understanding animal health needs Familiarity with animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming procedures Excellent communication skills to engage with pet owners confidently and professionally Ability to perform pet nail trimming, ear cleaning, and other grooming tasks accurately Physical stamina for heavy lifting and standing for extended periods during busy days Embark on a rewarding career where your love for animals makes a difference!
