Duties:
  • Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel facility
  • Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and other animal living areas
  • Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
  • Exercise and play with animals to ensure their physical and mental well-being
  • Monitor animal behavior and report any concerns or changes to supervising staff
  • Maintain accurate records of animal care and any observed health issues
Qualifications:
  • MUST have experience working in a kennel environment setting
  • Knowledge of basic animal care practices and procedures
  • Strong communication skills to interact with pet owners and supervising staff
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting or prolonged periods of standing or walking
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime as needed
Skills:
  • Heavy lifting: Ability to lift heavy objects such as bags of pet food or pets.
  • Animal care: Understanding of general animal care practices.
  • Customer service: Ability to provide excellent customer service to pet owners.
  • Kennel:
    Knowledge of kennel operations and procedures.
  • Pet care: Experience in providing care for various types of pets. (dogs, cats, goats & chickens)
  • Animal handling: Proficiency in safely handling different types of animals.
  • Animal restraint: Ability to safely restrain animals during arrivals and departures or grooming sessions.
