Overview Join our dedicated pet care team as a Cat Sitter and become a vital part of providing loving, attentive care to feline friends. In this role, you will ensure cats receive personalized attention, proper feeding, and a safe environment while their owners are away. Your enthusiasm for animals and commitment to their well-being will shine through as you deliver exceptional pet sitting services that foster comfort and happiness for every cat in your care. Responsibilities Provide daily care, feeding, and hydration tailored to each cat's specific needs and routines Monitor cats' health and behavior, reporting any concerns or unusual symptoms promptly Administer medications or special treatments as directed by pet owners or veterinary professionals Maintain a clean and safe environment by cleaning litter boxes, bedding, and feeding areas regularly Engage with cats through gentle play, cuddling, and enrichment activities to promote mental stimulation and comfort Follow detailed instructions from pet owners regarding feeding schedules, medication administration, and special care requirements Communicate effectively with clients about their pets' well-being and any notable observations during visits Skills Strong animal handling skills with experience caring for cats and other small animals Excellent pet sitting abilities, including feeding, grooming, and providing companionship Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure safety during handling or administering medication Ability to perform pet grooming tasks such as brushing fur or trimming nails when needed Experience with veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant background is a plus Familiarity with pet care equipment such as litter boxes, feeding stations, and enrichment toys Heavy lifting capability for carrying supplies or assisting with larger animals if necessary Exceptional customer service skills to communicate clearly and professionally with pet owners Basic knowledge of animal health indicators and ability to recognize signs of distress or illness Embark on a rewarding journey caring for cats while honing your animal handling expertise!
