The Animal Caregiver will be responsible for daily animal care, including feeding, cleaning and medicating. The position also involves assisting with adoptions, volunteer supervision and other duties as needed. For this position, we are looking for someone who loves people as well as animals. The ideal applicant will have experience with dogs and experience with horses and farm animals is preferred but not required. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be willing to work in all types of weather. This is a physical job. Tentative schedule is 3 to 4 days a week from 8 am to noon. Shifts will be weekdays but Saturdays may need to be covered periodically as well. Pay is $15-17 per hour to start, based on experience. At Hooves & Paws Animal Rescue, we believe that all animals matter and deserve to be saved and loved. We are looking for the right person to join our team and help us with our life-saving work. Animal rescue is rewarding but it is also very difficult work. The right person is dedicated and passionate and is not afraid to get dirty and work hard. This isn't the job for someone who is only looking for a paycheck. This is the job for someone who knows that the reward for hard work is saving lives and helping to make the world a better place for animals and for the people who visit and volunteer with us.
