Job Description

The Animals' House in Sterling, VA is seeking a caring, hard-working and motivated individual to fill the role of kennel supervisor at a busy dog daycare, boarding, and training facility. As a kennel supervisor, some of your daily responsibilities will include: Monitoring the playroom to ensure all dogs are playing safely and behaving properly Walking and bathing dogs of various sizes and/or temperaments Preparing meals and administering medications as necessary Communicating with clients Taking reservations, answering phones, and answering questions about the facility Vacuuming, mopping, and general cleaning of kennels and facility
Required Candidate Qualities:
Genuine love for dogs (and all of the sounds and smells that come with them!) The ability to lift and carry dogs of various sizes (up to 50 lbs.) A willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions carefully Ability to work as part of a team This is a labor intensive job that requires multi-tasking, attention to detail, and most importantly, a love for animals. Previous experience in a pet care facility is a plus but not necessary. A working interview will be required. Starting pay will be based off of experience. Various shifts available; some weekends and holidays required.
