In this dynamic role, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and happiness of dogs in our daycare and boarding facilities. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive environment for both pets and their owners. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with animals, develop your pet care skills, and be part of a passionate team committed to animal well-being. Duties Supervise dogs during playtime in the daycare and park area, ensuring safe and engaging interactions while monitoring animal behavior. Assist with pet boarding by providing attentive care, feeding, administering medications if needed, and maintaining a clean environment. Handle dog restraint and animal handling techniques to ensure safety during activities. Perform cleaning and sanitization of kennels, play areas, and common spaces to uphold pet care facility standards. Support pet grooming activities such as brushing or bathing to keep animals comfortable and healthy. Provide excellent customer service by communicating with pet owners about their pets' needs and behaviors. Assist with pet behavioral assessments to promote positive interactions among animals. Participate in team lifting tasks when moving supplies or heavy equipment to maintain a safe workspace. Qualifications Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician background is highly desirable. Experience in pet sitting, kennel work, or animal handling enhances your ability to excel in this role. Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal behavior is a strong asset. Ability to perform heavy lifting and outdoor work comfortably and safely. Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude. Experience with pet grooming, animal restraint, and sanitization procedures preferred. Familiarity with pet boarding operations and animal care standards is beneficial. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
