Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team for weekday afternoons 1 pm to 6 pm. (more hours may be available). The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care. As a Kennel Assistant, you will be responsible for the daily care; feeding, cleaning, and overseeing proper play of animals in our facility, ensuring their health and safety. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and organized environment while supporting the overall operations of our kennel. Responsibilities Provide daily care for animals, including supervising playtimes, feeding and exercising. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kennel, including animal living spaces and common areas. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to staff. Be willing to work occasional weekend and evening hours when needed Follow safety protocols to ensure the well-being of both animals and staff. Assist with administrative tasks as needed such as scheduling and paperwork Skills Ability to provide compassionate pet care and support animal welfare. Familiarity with dog training principles is beneficial. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and pet owners. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
