Your expertise will help enhance pet health, comfort, and appearance, making every visit a highlight for our furry clients. Duties Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling of various dog breeds. Handle animals with care and confidence, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the grooming process. Use animal restraint techniques effectively to manage dogs safely during grooming procedures. Communicate clearly with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and provide professional advice on pet coat styling and maintenance. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grooming tools, stations, and work areas to ensure a hygienic environment. Assist with pet care routines such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and basic veterinary-related tasks when needed. Support kennel or pet sitting duties as required, including handling animals during boarding or daycare services. Skills Proven experience in pet grooming with a focus on dog handling and animal care. Knowledge of veterinary procedures such as veterinary technician or assistant experience is a plus. Strong dog training skills to manage different temperaments and behaviors effectively. Ability to perform pet nail trimming, coat styling, and animal restraint with confidence. Excellent communication skills for engaging with pet owners about grooming needs and animal health concerns. Familiarity with animal handling techniques across various species including equine or companion animals is advantageous. Physical ability for heavy lifting of pets or equipment and standing for extended periods during busy shifts.
