Collar Cuts Mobile Grooming offers a structured, hands-on training program for individuals with professional bathing experience who want to advance into a full grooming role. This opportunity is designed for bathers who are ready to expand their skills into haircuts, clipping, and scissoring while working alongside experienced groomers in a mobile grooming environment. About the Training Program Most grooming schools require expensive tuition. Our program provides hands-on training at no cost through a structured work-based program designed to build real-world grooming skills. Training includes mentorship, progressive skill development, and practical experience to prepare you for a long-term grooming career. The program includes a 2-year work commitment after completing training. Training is self-paced and typically completed in 2-3 months , depending on skill progression. Pay & Schedule Paid training at minimum wage plus tips (average trainees earn approximately $18-$20 per hour during training ) Full-time training position After training: 40% commission with opportunities to increase Average full-time groomer earnings with our company are approximately $60,000+ annually . Observation Period The program begins with a 2-week unpaid observation period . This allows candidates to observe our mobile grooming process and ensures the position is a good fit for both parties. Requirements Prior professional pet bathing experience (required) Valid driver's license Reliable transportation to the Broomfield area Strong work ethic and comfort working with dogs of all sizes Desire to build a long-term grooming career Work Location Our mobile grooming routes primarily serve Broomfield, Arvada, and Thornton , with some travel to surrounding areas. The workday begins in Broomfield , so a regular commute to this area is required.
